Author Guidelines

Authors intending to submit their manuscripts to Training, Education, and Sustainable Development must adhere strictly to the following guidelines. Submissions that do not meet these requirements will be returned for correction prior to being considered for peer review.


1. Language and Structure

  • Main Text Language: The full manuscript must be written in Persian (Farsi) using clear, academic, and formal language.

  • Abstracts:

    • A Persian abstract (between 200–300 words) must be included at the beginning of the article.

    • An English abstract (between 200–300 words) must appear immediately after the Persian abstract.

  • Extended Abstract:

    • All articles must include an extended abstract in English, ranging between 1000 to 1500 words.

    • The extended abstract must include the following titled sections:
      Introduction, Methods and Materials, Findings, and Discussion and Conclusion.

    • The extended abstract should comprehensively summarize the article, without requiring readers to consult the full Persian text.

    • It must be written in academic English, free of grammatical errors.


2. Font and Formatting

  • Persian Sections:

    • Font: B Lotus

    • Size: 13 pt for body text, 14 pt bold for titles, 10 pt for footnotes

    • Line Spacing: 1.5

    • Alignment: Justified

    • Margins: 3 cm (top, bottom, right, left)

  • English Sections (abstracts, extended abstract, references):

    • Font: Times New Roman

    • Size: 12 pt

    • Line Spacing: 1.5

    • Alignment: Justified


3. Article Structure

Manuscripts must include the following sections in order:

  1. Title in Persian

  2. Author Information in Persian (Full name, affiliation, academic rank, email, ORCID ID)

  3. Persian Abstract and Keywords (3 to 6 keywords)

  4. English Abstract and Keywords

  5. Full Article in Persian:

    • Introduction

    • Theoretical/Conceptual Framework (if applicable)

    • Methods and Materials

    • Findings

    • Discussion

    • Conclusion

    • Acknowledgments (if any)

  6. Extended Abstract in English (with section titles)

  7. References List (see below for style requirements)


4. Citation and Referencing Style

  • The journal follows the APA (American Psychological Association) citation and referencing style (latest edition).

  • All in-text citations must follow APA format (Author, Year).

  • The reference list must be provided in English, regardless of the language of the source.

    • If the original source is in Persian or another language, the English transliteration and translation of the title must be included.

  • Examples:

In-text citation:
(Sadeghi, 2020)

Reference list:
Sadeghi, M. (2020). The role of environmental education in sustainable development [in Persian]. Tehran: University of Tehran Press.


5. Submission Requirements

  • Manuscripts must be submitted in Microsoft Word (.doc or .docx) format.

  • All figures, tables, and diagrams must be embedded in the text near their first citation.

  • Authors are responsible for obtaining permission to reproduce copyrighted material.

  • A cover letter must be submitted alongside the manuscript, confirming:

    • The originality of the work

    • No concurrent submission elsewhere

    • Contribution of each author

    • Compliance with ethical guidelines


6. Ethical Considerations

  • All research must comply with the ethical principles for research involving human participants.

  • If applicable, ethics committee approval must be clearly stated in the Methods section.

  • Authors must disclose any financial or personal conflicts of interest.


7. Peer Review Process

  • All submitted manuscripts undergo an initial screening by the editorial office.

  • Suitable manuscripts are then sent for double-blind peer review by at least two reviewers.

  • Authors will receive one of the following decisions:

    • Accept

    • Minor revision

    • Major revision

    • Reject

  • Authors are expected to return revised manuscripts within 2–4 weeks depending on the nature of revisions.


8. Article Processing Charges (APC)

  • Upon final acceptance, authors are required to pay an Article Processing Charge (APC) of 1,500,000 Tomans.

  • There are no charges for submission or peer review.

Submission Preparation Checklist

All submissions must meet the following requirements.

  • This submission meets the requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.
  • This submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration.
  • All references have been checked for accuracy and completeness.
  • All tables and figures have been numbered and labeled.
  • Permission has been obtained to publish all photos, datasets and other material provided with this submission.
