Abstract

This article examines the role of social factors influencing social vitality. For this purpose, the theories of Ronald Inglehart, Giddens, and Tedgar were used as the theoretical framework. The research method is survey-based, and the statistical population consists of individuals over 15 years of age in Golestan Province. The sampling method is multi-stage cluster sampling, and the sample size, according to Cochran’s formula, is 400 individuals. The data collection instrument is a researcher-made questionnaire. The method of data analysis includes Pearson correlation coefficient, path analysis, and regression analysis using SPSS software. Face validity was used to assess validity, and the reliability of the social vitality variable was 0.858, which is considered very high, indicating that its items had sufficient internal consistency. The test results show that the average level of social vitality among individuals was relatively low, with a mean score of 2.90. A significant positive and direct relationship exists between religiosity and social trust with social vitality. The greater the religiosity and social trust, the higher the level of social vitality. A negative relationship was observed between relative deprivation and social vitality. The independent variables explain and predict 39.1% of the variance and changes in social vitality. The conclusion is that social factors have a strong impact on social vitality. To enhance social vitality in Golestan Province, it is necessary to increase the level of social trust and religiosity among individuals and to reduce the level of relative deprivation.
