Abstract

This qualitative study aims to identify the key components that facilitate the institutionalization of sustainable lifestyles within the primary education curriculum. Using thematic analysis, data were collected through semi-structured interviews with 23 experts in curriculum planning, experienced teachers, and environmental education researchers in Tehran. The data were analyzed using NVivo software through open, axial, and selective coding. The findings revealed that core components include practical training in green behaviors, integration of environmental values across subjects, promotion of responsible consumption awareness, and active family engagement. These insights provide a basis for revising curriculum policies and pedagogical approaches toward fostering sustainable living in future generations.
