This study aimed to extract strategies for enhancing parental educational literacy in the context of sustainable development from the perspective of experts in education, family, and sustainability. This qualitative research used thematic analysis. Data were collected through semi-structured interviews with 17 experts in Tehran who were selected via purposive sampling. Interviews continued until theoretical saturation was achieved. Data analysis followed Braun and Clarke’s six-step method, and NVivo software was used for coding and organizing data. The analysis revealed three main themes: "Empowering parents in sustainable parenting," "Redesigning educational content and mechanisms for families," and "Institutionalizing the culture of sustainable development in families." A total of 17 subthemes and numerous open codes were extracted, representing the conceptual and strategic dimensions of enhancing parental educational literacy. The findings indicate that promoting sustainable parenting in families requires comprehensive, multi-level strategies involving individual, institutional, and societal interventions. Participatory approaches, localized content, educational technology, and future-oriented attitudes in parents are crucial components for fostering parental educational literacy aligned with sustainable development goals.
